How it works

One screen displays. Another device controls.

Remote Control uses a temporary session between two browsers. The large screen keeps running the animation while the second device sends simple control commands.

1

Open the main display

Open LED Scroll Display on the screen you want people to see, then prepare your scrolling message as usual.

2

Create a remote link

Open Remote Control from the display, create a temporary session, and show its QR code or link.

3

Connect the second device

Scan the QR code with your phone or open the link in another browser. It becomes the remote for the active display.

Live controls

Change the message without touching the display

Leave the public-facing screen in place while you make the changes from a device in your hand.

Change the text

Write and apply a new message while the display stays open.

Play or pause

Stop the movement for a moment and continue when you are ready.

Speed and direction

Adjust how quickly the message moves and where it travels.

Text and background colors

Make quick color changes from the remote device.

Saved messages

Select compatible saved messages for faster switching.

End the session

Disconnect the temporary remote when the live display is finished.

Useful when the screen must keep running

Built for live messages in real places

Shops and counters

Update an offer, queue message, or announcement without reaching the display.

Events and livestreams

Change names, prompts, welcomes, and short audience messages while the screen runs.

Classrooms

Control instructions, timers, or visible notices from a teacher’s phone or laptop.

Presentations

Keep a projector or external monitor visible while controlling it from your seat.

Current beta

What you need to know

Remote Control is free to try and designed for one active display. Sessions are temporary so old remote links do not remain active indefinitely.

  • Both devices need an internet connection.
  • The display page must stay open while it is being controlled.
  • A session starts with 2 hours and can be extended up to 12 hours.
  • Custom media stays on the display and is not transferred to the remote.

Questions

Remote Control FAQ

Do I need to install an app?

No. The display and the remote both work in a web browser. Open the temporary QR code or link on the second device.

Do both devices need to use the same Wi-Fi?

Does the scrolling text stop when I open the remote?

How long does a Remote Control session last?

A beta session starts with 2 hours. It can be extended in 2-hour steps up to a maximum of 12 hours from creation.
